Individual Counselling

Our work is tailored to you, with a focus on creating meaningful, lasting change. We help adults experiencing:
  • Life adjustments (e.g. changes to career, transitions between major life events)
  • Interpersonal issues (e.g. relationship breakup, issues with managing conflict, 'people-pleasing' behaviours, difficulty setting boundaries, feeling misunderstood)
  • Grief and loss (e.g. struggling with unresolved grief, recent loss of a loved one)
  • Depression, anxiety and OCD (e.g. hopelessness, low mood, loss of pleasure in life, fear of uncertainty, overthinking, intrusive thoughts)
  • Stress and burnout (e.g. emotional/physical exhaustion, difficulty 'switching off')
  • Emotion regulation (anger management, navigating unpleasant feelings such as shame, guilt, resentment)
  • Identity (e.g. low contentment/fulfilment in life, life feels directionless, loss of purpose, uncertainty about values/beliefs, cultural issues, LGBTIQ+)
  • Self-esteem/self-worth (e.g. low self-confidence, harsh self-criticism, feeling ‘not good enough’)

Our approach integrates evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy, emotion-focused strategies, and positive psychology.

Depending on your needs we may:
  • Explore and reshape unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours
  • Develop healthier ways of relating to others, including communication, boundaries, and managing conflict
  • Build emotional awareness and learn practical strategies to manage stress and overwhelming feelings
  • Change the impact of past experiences and long-standing patterns
  • Clarify your values and support you to live in greater alignment with them
  • Strengthen resilience, self-awareness, and overall wellbeing
